In most companies I work within now there is a need to deliver projects in an Agile fashion, yet the scrum teams are offshore and in different sites. We then resort to using task tracking tools such as sharepoint or resource tools with a scrum attachment, and recently using a product called mingle we found that we lost nearly 30 hours a week from my scrum teams and scrummasters in maintaining tasks.
Then Scrumwise caught my eye and I created a user and put together a simple backlog with some key stories and tasks and exposed it to a scrum team already struggling with using kanban boards.
Its gone down a treat and is really easy to use, update and put on a very large screen even touch screen. I totally recommend it and wish I we'd developed it ourselves. The pricing looks interesting at $6 a user per month.
So a typical 8 week release in four sprints with a team of 6 and a scrummaster will cost $84. This in comparison with the time to set up an open source tool on a unused server somewhere, is handsome. Obviously the flash issue may arise in banking environments.Take a look www.scrumwise.com
